    Installation and setup

Back up Moodle first. Install the extracted plugin folder at local/trainingpathways. Check the downloaded release’s Requirements for its declared Moodle and PHP compatibility.

    1. Install Training Pathways and complete the Moodle upgrade.
    2. Create stages and tasks, select the linked courses and identify required work.
    3. Configure Moodle course-completion activities before using submission-based progression. Allocate the finished program to learners.
    Using this plugin
    • Learners progress independently, not as a cohort. Program evidence and Moodle course completion remain distinct.
    • Course progression can be unrestricted, require preceding required courses to be completed, or recognise their configured activity submissions without waiting for marking.
    • For submission-based progression, final assignment submissions and finished non-preview quiz attempts count. Drafts, abandoned attempts and page visits do not.
    • Stage release dates can add a fixed date and an elapsed-day delay from allocation, target-course start, active enrolment or preceding required course completion. All enabled conditions must hold.
    • Allocated program definitions are protected from edits that would silently change learners’ obligations. Create a new definition when requirements change.
    Permissions and evidence safeguards
    • Progression does not award a pass, change a grade or mark a course complete.
    • Submission checks use the activities and ALL/ANY aggregation configured in Moodle course completion. Other activity types need actual Moodle completion evidence.
    • Missing start events keep date-dependent courses locked. Existing completed courses remain accessible, subject to Moodle permissions.
    • Moodle enrolment, activity restrictions and permissions still apply. Manager sign-offs remain required for applicable program tasks.
