    Installation and setup

    Back up Moodle first. Install the extracted plugin folder at local/trainingmatrix. Check the downloaded release’s Requirements for its declared Moodle and PHP compatibility.

    1. Install AI Training Matrix and complete Moodle’s administrator upgrade screen.
    2. Configure staff, positions and competency requirements. Review scheduled notifications before enabling them.
    3. Optionally install the free My Training Progress and Staff Training Dashboard blocks.
    Using this plugin
    • Assign staff to positions and review their recorded competency evidence and expiry dates.
    • Use My Training to review enrolled courses, assigned programs and available certificates.
    • AI position generation costs 10 credits per position generated. Review the confirmation before generating.
    Permissions and evidence safeguards
    • Course completion, participation, competency compliance and certificate expiry are separate evidence states.
    • Staff-wide oversight requires local/trainingmatrix:viewall. A course teacher role alone does not grant site-wide access.
    • Optional integrations fail closed when their plugin or compatible schema is unavailable.
