LMS Home Page
Replaces the standard Moodle front page with a fully custom, branded learning portal. Role-aware views for guests, learners, trainers, and admins — with live KPI cards, course catalogue, leaderboard, and high-performance web service endpoints for the LMS Hub dashboard.
⭐ Why this plugin is unlike anything else available
A real branded dashboard — not a rearranged Moodle front page
▸ Moodle's default front page is designed for everyone and therefore feels right for no one. LMS Home Page completely replaces it with a role-aware portal: guests see a course catalogue and enrolment prompts, learners see their progress and upcoming tasks, trainers see their cohorts, and admins see live KPI cards.
▸ Every data point on the dashboard comes from purpose-built web service endpoints that query Moodle directly — slim course lists, completion reports, attendance data, VET grade reports — each returning only what's needed, typically 50× smaller than Moodle's core web services.
▸ Works alongside your existing Moodle theme — no theme switching, no CSS overrides. The plugin intercepts the front-page render hook and survives every Moodle upgrade cleanly.
Guest: Course catalogue, enrolment prompts, and public landing content.
Learner: Personal greeting, enrolled courses, progress summary, upcoming deadlines.
Trainer: Cohort overview, assessment submissions pending, learner activity feed.
Admin: Live KPI cards, site-wide stats, active user counts, and quick-access links.
Admin dashboard surfaces real-time data including active users, course enrolments, completion rates, and attendance percentages — all pulled directly from Moodle's database without caching delays.
Each card links directly to the relevant Moodle report or admin page.
Learners see a filterable course catalogue with enrolment status, progress indicators, and category grouping. An optional leaderboard surfaces completion achievements to encourage engagement.
Learners are grouped by cohort. The dashboard surfaces cohort-specific announcements, course lists, and trainer contact details — so every learner sees content relevant to their enrolment.
Works with any Moodle theme — Boost, Classic, or custom. The plugin uses Moodle's front-page override hook and injects its own output without modifying theme templates, so it survives upgrades and theme changes cleanly.
