Re-verifies identity at submission time — not just at sign-up
▸ Most LMS identity checks happen once at account creation and are never repeated. AI Verify ID re-checks the learner's identity at each graded submission using a live camera photo compared against the enrolment photo. The person who enrolled is confirmed as the person who submits.
▸ Photos are sent from Moodle to the configured LMS Labs AI service (credit-based) for the comparison. Only the images needed for verification are transmitted.
▸ Configurable sensitivity threshold: institutions can set how strict the match must be, allowing for lighting and angle variation while still catching obvious substitutions.
AI Verify ID is a Moodle™ activity module that uses GPT-4o Vision to verify student identity by comparing their government-issued ID document with a live webcam photo. Recommended setup for high-stakes assessments
- 1.Add an AI Verify ID activity to the course and set it as a Restrict Access condition on the quiz — students must be verified before they can attempt the quiz.
- 2.Enable AI Webcam Proctoring on the quiz (Extra restrictions on attempts → AI Webcam Proctoring). The plugin captures a baseline selfie at quiz start and periodic snapshots throughout.
- 3.After the quiz, open the proctoring report. Each student row shows their Verify ID status and score. Click any row to see the full side-by-side comparison: government ID, Verify ID selfie, and quiz snapshots — all in one view.
