Make room to rehearse the hard conversations.
Review two or three responses and their consequences. With three, identify exactly one better response and one very poor response.
Make a choice, see its consequence and understand why another response may be stronger.
From setup to learning
A starting path for teachers. Review learner-facing material before using it in class.
- 01
Map the choices
Create situations, options and outcomes with the manual authoring tools.
- 02
Develop the scene
Request an AI-assisted scene/script draft in Moodle where useful, then review and edit it for your teaching context. The existing copy-and-paste authoring route remains separate.
- 03
Add an image separately
Upload a scene picture or request AI image generation separately. A playable scene needs a picture and valid responses.
Design the decision, not just the dialogue
New in the supplied 1.4.1 release
The optional third response represents a serious but believable mistake. Choosing it shows “That made things much worse.” with dark-red feedback. Imported two-response scenes remain supported.
Practice and layout
Previously tried poorer responses stay crossed out after a reload. On wide screens, the picture and context sit beside the question and responses, with indicators above; phones use one column.
Complete draft integration
The prepared five-credit draft contract adds the learner role, question and three validated responses to the existing script fields. The supplied plugin has not yet connected these extra fields to “Use your own text”.
Picture workflow
Upload a picture or request the separate LMS Labs image operation. Text drafting does not produce imagery.
Editing after attempts
The release report notes that removing Response C after learners have selected it can leave that historical choice without its text in review. Preserve used responses when editing a live activity.
What the activity brings
Three-response decisions
Add a better, poorer and very poor response. The very poor choice causes at least twice the poorer choice’s indicator drop, within the 50-point limit. Existing two-response scenes still work.
Balanced response order
With shuffle enabled, the better response is spread over A, B and C. The very poor choice moves too; C is not always wrong.
Traffic-light feedback
Indicators start at 50. Teachers can adjust the amber and green thresholds, which default to 40 and 70. Learners see the effect of each decision.
Optional scene media
Add a picture and separately generate narration and character voice clips. These are separate paid operations, not bundled into a text draft.
Know what is separate
Operation credits
Scene/script drafts and imported scenes cost 5 credits (US$0.50) each. A successful scene image costs 5 credits separately. Paid voiceover costs 2 credits (US$0.20) per generated and settled clip. The clip-reference integration allows 10 free re-makes per clip in a rolling 30-day window after its first paid generation; over-limit re-makes cost 2 credits, shown before confirmation. This needs a matching Moodle update and server publication; requests without a clip reference cost 2 credits each. Previously completed charges stay unchanged. A lost response can still have a completed charge. Text does not include an image or audio. One-time acquisition is separate. Release availability must be verified separately.
Important boundary. Scenes need a picture and valid responses to be played. Teachers must review AI output. Three-response drafting on the server does not install or upgrade the Moodle integration.
Installation
Installation is an administrator action. Do not use a candidate attachment as a substitute for a verified release.
- 01
Obtain the release
Once a promoted release is available, complete the required access verification and obtain the verified ZIP from LMS Labs.
- 02
Install in Moodle
As a site administrator, go to Site administration → Plugins → Install plugins, upload the ZIP and follow Moodle’s validation and upgrade prompts.
- 03
Add to a course
Enable editing in a course and add AI Soft Skills as an activity. Configure it before opening it to learners.

Frequently asked questions
Does “Use your own text” already fill every response?
The supplied 1.4.1 plugin still requires the response-authoring step. A server extension is prepared to return a complete three-response draft; it needs publication and a matching Moodle integration before that workflow is automatic.
Does a text draft include an image?
No. A scene picture is uploaded or generated separately.
What if a voice request cannot return audio?
Keep its reference and contact support before generating again. An expired result does not prove whether a charge happened. If the outcome is unknown, use Check again with the original request rather than creating a new clip.
