    AI Safety Hazards

    Activity Module

    Identify workplace hazards, choose practical controls, and understand how they reduce risk.

    Release and access

    One-time unlock: 50 Credits ($5 USD). A verified Moodle Marketplace purchase unlocks the plugin without another credit charge.

    Install the activity in /mod/aisafetyhazards/, complete Moodle’s upgrade, then use the activity’s activation page with your LMS Labs site credentials.

    Download is unavailable until the release has completed verification.

    Create a hazard scene

    1. Choose an industry, subindustry and task. Write a brief and choose the learners’ language.
    2. Create an AI draft, or copy the supplied prompt into your own AI assistant and import its response.
    3. Review three real hazards and one or two optional distractors. Each hazard has an initial likelihood and consequence on a 5 × 5 risk matrix.
    4. Upload your own picture or generate one. AI pictures can automatically position the real hazard labels; review and adjust them where needed. Distractors are not picture targets.
    5. Review the Eliminate, Reduce the risk and PPE required choices, including explanations and risk reductions.
    6. Optionally generate narration, then preview the activity as a learner before teaching.

    What learners do

    Learners place hazard labels on the picture, distinguish distractors, and choose controls. Elimination removes a hazard where practical. Every hazard also includes Reduce and PPE choices, teaching alternative controls if elimination is not applied. These explain how controls change likelihood and consequence, not a need for PPE after a hazard has been removed.

    Older scenes may have empty Reduce or PPE rows for eliminable hazards. Review the editor warnings and add the missing choices or regenerate the scene. In-progress attempts can reopen at Reduce after upgrading; finished attempts and stored grades are unchanged.

    Enable AI deliberately

    AI drafting, pictures and voiceover are off by default. The site administrator enables them once activation and service availability are confirmed. Uploaded pictures remain available without AI picture generation.

    Voiceover uses Google Chirp 3 HD and one administrator-selected narrator voice, with Charon as the default. Narration clips contain up to 200 characters.

    Review safety content

    AI-generated scenes are teaching drafts, not a workplace risk assessment. A competent teacher must check hazard accuracy, control choices and local requirements before use. Do not submit real personal or confidential workplace information.

    If a request is interrupted

    Use Check again for the existing request rather than submitting a new paid request. Repeating the same request key does not start a second charge. Completed draft/import receipts are recoverable for 24 hours; images and audio are not retained by LMS Labs for later download.
