▸ AI Grade generates a suggested mark and feedback inside the quiz report. Nothing is written to the student's grade until the assessor clicks Approve & Save to Gradebook. Approval uses Moodle's manual grading API, so question attempts, regrades and the gradebook follow Moodle's normal workflow.
▸ Uses a consistent 3-criterion rubric (not open-ended scoring), so results are comparable across submissions, across time, and across different teachers reviewing the same work. You get a score with a stated rationale, not a vague letter grade.
▸ Transparent data path. Student essay text and the assessor's marking criteria are sent to the LMS Labs AI API for grading, and the marks and feedback come straight back into Moodle's grading workflow. Grading consumes LMS Labs AI credits — no separate AI provider account or API key to manage.

Dashboard queue, quiz marking, site reporting
The list of ungraded essays lives in the AI Grader Dashboard block (block_aigrader_dashboard). Add it to the Moodle Dashboard to see totals, overdue essays and course/quiz counts. Its Grade now button opens the relevant quiz report.
Mark in Quiz → Results → AI Essay Grader (quiz_aigrader), not in the block. Per-quiz statistics are in that report. The site-wide AI Essay Grader Activity Report is at /mod/quiz/report/aigrader/grader_report.php, under Site administration → Reports and the block's View Activity Report button.
